Welcome to Rotary Park - a decile ten, co-educational, contributing State Primary School situated at the beginning of the Otago Peninsula, Dunedin. The school has fewer than one hundred pupils with 4 fulltime teachers, 1 part time Principal Release teacher and 2 part-time pupil support teachers.
Since 2001, with the establishment of a Montessori class, parents from many other parts of the city have elected to send their children not only to our Montessori class, but also to our mainstream classes.
Rotary Park provides the finest possible learning environment within which to promote and encourage the development of every child's full potential. Our values programme underpins all the children's interactions. We are educating children now for a future which cannot be visualised, a future where the only certainty is that it will not be like the past. Our aim is to always respond to the varied and emerging learning needs of the children.
Rotary Park is an enviroschool. Our spacious lgrounds, adventure playgrounds, school hall and large library make is a great place for children.
"Students learn in a safe and supportive environment. Programmes are generously resourced with high quality equipment. The principal and teachers strive to meet the needs and foster the talents of individual students. Where students are not achieving at expected levels, a number of initiatives to support their learning have been introduced. Extension activities provide students with extra challenge. There is evidence of high student achievement across the school." - ERO
